Maintenance Technician – Dairy Queen Restaurants & Rental Properties

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, dependable Maintenance Technician to maintain multiple Dairy Queen restaurant locations and residential rental properties. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, takes pride in their work, and can troubleshoot and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate will have experience in general building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, equipment repairs, and property upkeep. Restaurant maintenance experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs at Dairy Queen restaurants and rental properties.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, drywall, flooring, and minor HVAC issues.
- Repair and maintain restaurant equipment when possible and coordinate outside vendors for major repairs.
- Complete apartment and house turnovers, including painting, drywall repair, fixture replacement, and general repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and costly repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs when needed.
- Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, and exterior building appearance.
- Keep maintenance records and communicate completed work with management.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years of maintenance experience in commercial, residential, restaurant, or property maintenance.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs.
- Ability to diagnose problems and work independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests across different locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Restaurant equipment repair experience.
- HVAC certification or experience.
- Appliance repair experience.
- Basic computer or smartphone skills for completing work orders and communicating with management.
