We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Part-Time <Sous Chef> to join our vibrant team. As a key team member, you will assist in food preparation in the kitchen and on the line during dinner hours , while also preparing for catering jobs on and off premise, bringing energy and professionalism to every task. Responsibilities
- Assist in food production, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared efficiently and safely according to established standards.
- Works well with team members during shifts, providing guidance and support to maintain excellent service standards
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination.
- Contribute to menu planning and food presentation, collaborating with chefs and kitchen staff to enhance culinary offerings.
- Help oversee kitchen operations during shifts, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality expectations.
Skills
- experience in a fast-paced food service or hospitality environment.
- Extensive dietary department experience including food handling, preparation, and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated expertise in food production, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate staff effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory management, cost control measures, and food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Exceptional food service management skills including shift management, menu planning, and restaurant experience.
- Familiarity with the food industry standards for hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
- Leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills to foster a positive team environment.
