GENERAL MANAGER & COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR

West Coast Hospitality is seeking an energetic, hands-on General Manager & Community Ambassador to lead The Dundee Hotel, a distinctive 22-room boutique property in the heart of Oregon Wine Country.
We’re looking for a hospitality leader who thrives on guest interaction, leads by example, embraces community involvement, and creates memorable experiences that inspire repeat business.
The Dundee Hotel offers a curated wine country experience featuring:
· Four on-site wine tasting room and retail tenants
· A newly signed European-inspired wine spa featuring vinotherapy treatments
· A restaurant partnership offering complimentary breakfast, coffee, and morning selections for guests
The successful candidate will serve as the face of the hotel, build strong community relationships, and inspire a culture of service excellence. Success in this role requires visibility, enthusiasm, creativity, accountability, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves every day.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Lead from the Front
· Serve as the visible leader of the property and set the standard for guest service.
· Work side by side with team members across departments as needed.
· Support front desk operations, guest requests, housekeeping, and special projects when needed.
· Create an environment where every guest feels welcomed, recognized, and appreciated.
· Foster a culture where no task is beneath anyone, including the General Manager.
Drive an Exceptional Guest Experience
· Develop guest programs that showcase Dundee and Oregon Wine Country.
· Ensure every guest interaction reflects the hotel’s commitment to personalized hospitality.
- Drive improvements in guest satisfaction scores, online reviews, and reputation metrics.
· Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements proactively.
· Partner with tenants and local businesses to create distinctive guest experiences.
Grow Revenue Through Marketing & Community Engagement
· Use Cloudbeds’ marketing and CRM tools to drive direct bookings, repeat visits, and guest communications.
· Maintain an active presence on Instagram, Facebook, and emerging social channels.
· Create engaging content featuring the hotel, local events, wine country experiences, spa offerings, and tenant partnerships.
· Develop promotions and packages that increase occupancy and guest spending.
· Build relationships with wineries, tasting rooms, tourism groups, event planners, and local businesses.
· Represent the hotel at chamber, tourism, community, and industry events.
· Identify partnerships that increase awareness and revenue for the hotel and its tenants.
Develop and Inspire Your Team
· Train, mentor, and retain strong hospitality professionals; recruit only as needed.
- Establish clear performance expectations and development goals.
· Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, positivity, and continuous improvement.
- Lead by example through professionalism, enthusiasm, and service excellence.
- Provide coaching and feedback that develops future hospitality leaders.
Manage the Business
· Oversee daily hotel operations while maintaining high quality standards.
· Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and expense controls.
· Partner with revenue management and the corporate sales and marketing team to maximize occupancy, ADR, and profitability.
· Conduct daily inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are met.
· Monitor labor costs, purchasing, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Protect and enhance the hotel's physical assets and reputation.
What We're Looking For
· At least three years of hotel leadership experience, ideally in a boutique, independent, lifestyle, luxury, or destination property.
· Proven success leading small teams in a hands-on operational environment.
· Strong command of hotel financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
· Experience with social media marketing, guest engagement, and direct booking strategies.
· Cloudbeds or similar property management system experience preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proven ability to build relationships with guests, team members, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Passion for hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, wine culture, and guest experience.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
· Experience in boutique hotels, wineries, tasting rooms, restaurants, destination tourism, luxury hospitality, or experiential hospitality is strongly preferred.
· Personality, energy, leadership, and a genuine passion for hospitality matter just as much as traditional hotel management experience.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000–$95,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience plus you will be eligible for a significant bonus program tied to operational and financial goals.
