Building Kidz of New Port Richey is hiring a warm, dependable, and energetic teacher for our older threes/fours classroom. This teacher will help children build the social, emotional, academic, and independence skills they need for VPK, kindergarten, and beyond.
Responsibilities
The Older Threes Teacher will create a safe, loving, and structured classroom environment where children feel supported and excited to learn. This role includes planning and leading age-appropriate activities in early literacy, math, science, art, dramatic play, music, movement, and hands-on exploration.
The teacher will support children as they develop independence with bathroom routines, handwashing, cleaning up, following directions, and classroom transitions. A strong focus will be placed on helping children build social-emotional skills, including sharing, problem-solving, using kind words, managing emotions, and working cooperatively with others.
This teacher is also responsible for maintaining active supervision at all times, keeping the classroom clean and organized, communicating professionally with families and leadership, and following all licensing, health, safety, and school policies.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has experience working with preschool-aged children and enjoys helping older 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds grow in confidence, independence, and school readiness. They are patient, energetic, loving, consistent, and able to balance warmth with structure.
We are looking for someone who communicates well with parents, coworkers, and leadership, and who takes pride in creating a high-quality classroom environment.
Requirements
DCF 45 hours preferred or willingness to complete required training. Background screening required. CDA or related childcare credential preferred. Prior preschool classroom experience preferred.
Schedule: Full-time
Location: Building Kidz of New Port Richey
Pay: Based on experience and credentials.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
