A great HMSHost Cook is someone who:
- Has a passion for food service, practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
- Operates a variety of kitchen equipment, measures and mixes ingredients, washes, peels, cuts and shreds fruits and vegetables
- Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items which may include soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food and beverage products. Is open to new ideas and suggests ideas of their own
- Treats everyone with respect
- Is committed to quality work, is reliable and a team player
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn and grow
