We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Custodial Technician to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation at 1001 Fannin, a prestigious Class A office building in the heart of downtown Houston. This full-time position plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and guests.
The Custodial Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of interior common areas, tenant spaces, restrooms, offices, lobbies, and other assigned areas. Successful candidates will take pride in their work, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and contribute to a positive tenant experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout offices, corridors, lobbies, conference rooms, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, finish, and polish hard surface flooring.
- Vacuum and clean carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and fabric surfaces.
- Clean and polish glass, windows, door panels, mirrors, and metal fixtures.
- Dust and clean furniture, workstations, equipment, ledges, and decorative surfaces.
- Clean and polish marble, stone, stainless steel, and other premium finishes.
- Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue products.
- Remove trash, recycling, and waste materials from designated areas and transport them to disposal locations.
- Clean walls, ceilings, doors, baseboards, and woodwork as needed.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and building standards.
- Provide courteous and professional interactions with building tenants, guests, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
- Experience working in Class A office environments is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies as required.
