Position Overview
We are seeking a Background Screening Specialist to join our Sacramento office. This role involves analyzing records, verifying credentials, and interpreting results to support critical hiring decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and review background checks using internal and third-party systems
- Investigate discrepancies and combine findings from multiple sources
- Interpret data within compliance and employment law standards (FCRA knowledge a plus)
- Communicate results clearly and professionally to clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues
- Handle sensitive data with confidentiality and accuracy
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and client experience
Qualifications
- Experience in background screening, HR, compliance, or investigations preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Proficiency with technology and adaptable to new systems
- Ethical, dependable, and detail-oriented team player

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
