American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU Days position requiring a New Mexico or Compact RN license and PALS certification.
-
Work in the Post Surgical PACU unit of a hospital setting
-
Day shift schedule with four 10-hour rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
-
Weekend requirement of two 12-hour weekend shifts per month with call (Saturday/Sunday counts as one weekend)
-
On-call requirement of one night per week
-
Floating required to other units within surgical services
-
Uses EPIC EMR system
-
Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license required
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
-
Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience

Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
-
Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
-
Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
-
Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
-
Wear graphite gray scrubs per facility dress code
-
Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility

Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility in a non-travel role must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
