Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Trailer Technician to join our team in San Bernardino, CA. As a Trailer Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient repair of our trailers. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance to ensure trailers are in compliance with safety regulations
- Repair or replace damaged components, such as brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems
- Perform welding and fabricating tasks as needed
- Keep accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to solve complex mechanical problems
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to remote emergency service calls in a timely manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience as a Trailer Technician or related field
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on trailers
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, and electrical
- Experience with welding and fabricating
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driver's licence A is a plus
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
