Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, and social skills
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment
- Engage children in educational play, including activities focused on childhood development, Montessori methods, or other curriculum frameworks
- Help monitor and support children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation
- Collaborate with teachers to develop individualized educational plans and adapt activities for children requiring additional support
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and behavioral observations
- Support classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions to foster consistency and comfort for children
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Experience with special education, literacy education, math instruction, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Technical proficiency in using educational tools or classroom management software
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff in developing curriculum and classroom activities
- Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diverse learners including toddlers and preschoolers
- Relevant certifications such as CPR/First Aid or early childhood education credentials are advantageous
