Position Summary
Join our team serving fresh, made-to-order Belgian waffles to guests at Massanutten Resort. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, providing excellent customer service, and thriving in a fast-paced environment. Team members are responsible for preparing food, taking customer orders, operating the cash register, maintaining a clean workspace, and creating a welcoming experience for resort guests.
This is primarily a seasonal position with the busiest months occurring from December through March during the ski season. Additional opportunities may be available throughout the year during select resort festivals and special events.
Typical Schedule
Primary workdays: Thursday through Monday
Morning and evening shifts available
Additional evening shifts during night skiing operations
Most shifts are worked independently
Two team members may be scheduled during weekends and peak holiday periods
Flexible scheduling based on resort traffic and weather conditions
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve fresh Belgian waffles according to company standards.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and process cash and credit card transactions.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Stock ingredients, supplies, and beverages throughout the shift.
Open and close the stand, including setup, cleaning, and cash reconciliation.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and inviting.
Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests from around the world.
Work independently while managing multiple tasks during busy periods.
Communicate effectively with management regarding inventory, maintenance needs, and daily operations.
Assist with special events and festivals as scheduled.
Qualifications
Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Comfortable handling cash and operating a register.
Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Food service or retail experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate.

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) with opportunities for additional hours during holidays, weekends, and peak ski season.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
