A well-established hospitality company is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a full-service, branded hotel in the Fort Lauderdale market. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and financial success.
- Drive revenue growth and maximize profitability through effective management of rooms, food and beverage, sales, and ancillary revenue streams.
- Develop and execute annual business plans, operating budgets, forecasts, and capital improvement plans.
- Analyze financial statements, operating metrics, labor costs, and market trends to identify opportunities for improved performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop department heads and hotel associates while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, train, retain, and mentor top talent, creating a high-performing leadership team and promoting internal career development.
- Ensure consistent compliance with brand standards, company policies, safety regulations, and all federal, state, and local laws.
- Champion guest satisfaction initiatives by monitoring service scores, online reviews, and guest feedback, implementing action plans to continuously improve the guest experience.
- Partner closely with the Sales and Revenue Management teams to increase occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall market share.
- Oversee all food and beverage operations to ensure quality, profitability, and exceptional service standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with ownership, brand representatives, vendors, and community organizations while representing the hotel professionally within the local market.
- Monitor and control labor expenses, operating costs, and departmental productivity to achieve financial objectives.
- Ensure preventative maintenance programs are effectively executed to protect hotel assets and maintain a safe, attractive property.
- Lead operational meetings and communicate organizational goals, priorities, and performance expectations across all departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
- Manage risk by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, security, and emergency preparedness procedures.
- Utilize hotel operating systems and performance reports to make informed business decisions and drive operational excellence.
- Oversee the successful execution of group business, special events, and VIP guest experiences.
- Foster a culture of innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement while achieving company and brand performance goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of General Manager experience in a full-service branded hotel.
- Experience with nationally recognized hotel brands is required.
- Demonstrated success leading hotel operations, revenue management, and financial performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Proven ability to improve guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and operational results.
- Strong understanding of hotel sales, food and beverage operations, and revenue optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
