Position Summary
Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Short‑Term Casual to support the SPOT‑TB study, an NIH‑funded, community‑based clinical research study focused on improving tuberculosis (TB) screening strategies among high‑risk populations in New York City.
This per diem position requires on‑site work at community‑based research locations in West Harlem and the Bronx, and regular coordination with clinical, imaging, and field research teams.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, social sciences, or a related field.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently in community‑based settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public health or a related field.
- Experience with REDCap and/or community‑based research.
Other Requirements
- Participation in the medical surveillance program for personnel with patient or human subjects contact.
- Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
- Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
- Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements.
