James F. Mullen is looking for a competent self-driven Machinist who has a keen eye for detail, strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude. As a built-to-order, high-precision manufacturing facility, this role is responsible for producing high quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to understand specifications for each part.
- Set up, load materials, and operate CNC lathes, mills, or grinders according to work orders and blueprints.
- Monitor machines and make real-time adjustments as needed; set tolerance levels and cutting speeds.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Document production data and report nonconformities.
- Communicate issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces in compliance with safety standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent qualifications required.
- Minimum 5 years of machining experience; familiarity with high-temperature alloys preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam preferred).
- Ability to read and translate engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to details, accuracy, and results driven.
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
- Ability to solve problems with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate and follow safety protocols.
Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
