The Muse Whiskey & Coffee is currently looking for full-time Craft Cocktail Bartenders at our upscale, speak-easy style craft Whiskey and Coffee bar, with knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, a passion for quality customer service and a willingness to learn and be creative.
Experience in craft cocktail bars, fine dining restaurants and a valid MAST training certificate is required. Private Club, Resort and wine knowledge are a plus, but not required.
The Bartender in this position must be capable of delivering exceptional bar service in a unique environment with good interpersonal and communication skills. Responsible for following cocktail recipes made by our GM and Bar Manager, putting away any bar deliveries, keeping track of all guests tabs through the POS system, comfortable leaving the bar to serve tables and help team members. Maintaining a clean organized bar and sanitation standards are a must.
Proper cocktail techniques required. Bartenders in this position will need to help with infusions, batching, syrups, and give creative input.
Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare cocktails according to recipes or customize drinks based on customer preferences
- Maintain great knowledge of all product offerings including liquors and beers

- Greeting guests in a positive, friendly manner and making them feel welcome
- Guiding guests through all phases of their experience
- Exhibiting proper menu knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered
- Assist in running items, bussing tables and setting tables when necessary
- Provides direction to and assistance to support staff to ensure proper service
- Anticipating the guests needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Maintaining a level of professionalism, that will make guests want to return
- Bidding farewell to guests, using guests name when known, and encourage them to return
- Performing all opening and closing duties, based upon shift assignment
- Building and establishing healthy relationships with clientele
- Effectively communicating with management, Bartenders and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or other employees
- Always be positive, show enthusiasm, be humble, be thankful, and be respectful to all team members
- Following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department andall health and safety regulations set by County health department
- Conforming to the department grooming standards, uniform or attire, and jewelry policy
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1+ year craft cocktail experience
- 2+ years restaurant experience
- Must have a working knowledge of Spirits, Wine and Food
- Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
- Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
