Job Description
Ro Health is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Behavioral Technicians (BTs), and Paraprofessionals to support students in school-based settings throughout Oakland County, Michigan.
We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable professionals to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year, with opportunities for continued placement.
These positions provide the opportunity to work directly with students in educational environments while collaborating with teachers, special education professionals, and school staff to help students succeed.
We offer full-time, part-time, contract, and per diem opportunities, depending on assignment availability.
Position Overview
- Location: Oakland County, MI area schools
- Positions: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Behavioral Technician (BT), Paraprofessional
- Pay: $20–$25/hour, based on position, experience, and qualifications
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, depending on assignment
- Start Date: 2026–2027 school year
- Setting: In-person, school-based assignments

Job Responsibilities
- Provide classroom-based behavioral, academic, and instructional support to students with special needs
- Provide 1:1 or small-group support based on student needs
- Assist students in developing social, academic, communication, and behavioral skills
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and ABA-based strategies when applicable and under the direction of supervising staff
- Support teachers and special education staff in maintaining a structured and positive classroom environment
- Collect behavioral or academic data and document student progress as directed
- Use positive reinforcement and other strategies to promote student engagement
- Assist students with classroom routines, transitions, and daily activities
- Encourage student independence and participation
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while supporting students
QualificationsRBT / Behavioral Technician
- RBT certification preferred; not required for all BT positions
- Experience in ABA, behavioral health, childcare, education, or related fields preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and other professionals
- Passion for helping students reach their academic, behavioral, and social goals
Paraprofessional
- Associate's degree preferred or ParaPro Assessment qualification, depending on assignment requirements
- Experience in education, childcare, behavioral health, or special education preferred
- Previous school-based experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom support skills
- Ability to work with students with varying academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
- Passion for supporting students with disabilities
