Wound Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

About the Role
CuraWound is looking for an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team and provide weekly wound care services at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Paris, Tennessee.
This is an excellent opportunity for a provider with strong wound care experience who enjoys working independently while collaborating with facility nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
What You'll Do
- Conduct weekly wound care rounds at the assigned SNF.
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic wounds.
- Develop individualized wound treatment plans.
- Manage pressure injuries, diabetic wounds, venous ulcers, arterial wounds, and other complex wounds.
- Perform debridement within your scope of practice.
- Monitor wound healing and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Assess for infection and coordinate appropriate treatment.
- Collaborate with facility nursing staff and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound care and prevention.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation in the EMR after each visit.
- Maintain appropriate patient records and care plans.
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license eligible to practice in Tennessee.
- Current national certification appropriate to your discipline.
- Wound care experience is required.
- Strong clinical assessment and wound management skills.
- Experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Post-Acute Care, or similar settings preferred.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to travel to the assigned facility in Paris, TN.
Preferred Qualifications
- Wound care certification such as CWCN, CWOCN, CWS, or CWSP.
- Experience with wound debridement.
- Experience treating complex/chronic wounds.
- Experience with pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, and arterial wounds.
- Experience with advanced wound care therapies.
- Previous SNF wound care experience.
