Job Title: Telco Circuit Provisioning Specialist
Location: Honolulu, HI
Duration: 4-6+ month contract
Pay Range: $30-40/hr. (negotiable based on experience)
Summary:
The Telco Circuit Provisioning Specialist is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and verifying the provisioning of telecom circuits (e.g., T1, Ethernet, MPLS, DIA, fiber, broadband) to ensure timely and accurate service delivery to customers. This role serves as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure seamless circuit activation and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end circuit provisioning for data and voice services.
- Interface with vendors, carriers, and internal teams (e.g., NOC, Engineering, Sales) to ensure timely delivery of circuit orders.
- Validate circuit designs and configurations per customer specifications and service standards.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate records in OSS/BSS systems such as Remedy, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or proprietary tools.
- Perform circuit testing and validation (e.g., loopback tests, ping/traceroute, throughput validation) in coordination with field techs and NOC.
- Troubleshoot and escalate provisioning-related issues as necessary to engineering or vendor contacts.
- Track and report on order status, milestones, and delays; ensure timely customer communication.
- Ensure documentation of circuit IDs, demarc locations, equipment details, and IP addressing is complete and accurate.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in telecom provisioning, circuit ordering, or service delivery roles.
- Understanding of telecom technologies including Ethernet, fiber, TDM, MPLS, DSL, and broadband.
- Familiarity with LEC/Carrier processes (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, CenturyLink/Lumen).
- Experience with provisioning tools, ticketing systems, and circuit databases.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
