English and Math Tutor (Part-Time) – S.A.M Singapore Math, Naperville, IL
S.A.M Singapore Math is an award-winning Mathematics Learning Program designed for children aged 4 to 12 years. Our proprietary Singapore Math methodology focuses on conceptual understanding and problem-solving using the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach. Our curriculum aligns with topics taught across U.S. schools, making it an excellent supplement for public school students, private school learners, and homeschoolers.
We are seeking passionate English and Math Tutors to join our team at our Naperville, IL location. This is a part-time, in-person role with a flexible schedule ranging from 2-10 hours (Room for growth).
As a Math Tutor ( Sometimes English too), you will work with students in small groups (1–4 kids), guiding them through our engaging curriculum. This role offers growth opportunities, with potential promotion to Lead Tutor or Center Manager.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate math lessons using the S.A.M Singapore Math curriculum.
- Work closely with students in a small-group setting to foster a love for math and problem-solving.
- Maintain a structured and organized learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress.
- Uphold the center’s mission of delivering high-quality education in a supportive and cheerful atmosphere.
Requirements
- Strong competency in teaching English ( till middle school) and Math ( till 3rd grade)
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities.
- Cheerful and genuinely passionate about working with children.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is a plus but not required.

- Job Type: Part-time
- Days: Saturday ( Friday and Thursday in future)
- Pay:$18.00 – $23 per hour (Pay will be determined based on the candidate’s level of experience.)
- Hours: Depending on availability and center needs.
