Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Micros and Aloha to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and food safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing customer inquiries with enthusiasm
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment; ensure proper food storage practices
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicing machines, to prepare ingredients for sandwiches
- Handle cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and process cash handling with accuracy and integrity
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros or Aloha POS; experience with cash register operations is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and ability to upsell menu items effectively
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing register totals
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean workspace at all times
- Food industry experience or culinary background is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
