This position is open to both Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship trained or General Pediatric/Internal Medicine-Pediatric residency trained physicians. No hematology-oncology specific training is required for the residency-trained applicant. Training will be provided after hiring.

Residency trained applicants do not need to have Hospital Medicine fellowship training- they may be hired directly out of residency.

Both types of applicants will manage nighttime inpatient care of Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. They will attend to patient's medical needs on admitted inpatients as well as assist with new admissions.

The role consists of in-house night coverage for 120 nights per year.

Nocturnists are welcome to participate in other activities such as quality improvement or disease-specific activities based on their interest, though this is not required.
Minimum Requirements

MD or equivalent degree.

Board certified or board eligible for either Pediatric Hematology-Oncology or General pediatric/Internal Medicine-Pediatric boards.

Prior to employment start date must obtain Texas Medical License and Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
