Our Milk & Honey AV is searching for a Barista to work with our team of talented and friendly baristas. We are looking to hire an individual who is familiar with coffee shop policies and procedures, can make a single cup of coffee as well as espresso beverages, and has experience with cash register systems. we hire Personalities and Train for skill. We're looking forward to getting to know our new Barista and making their first day a memorable one!
Responsibilities:
- Grind beans using a manual grinder.
- Grind beans using an electric grinder.
- Operate espresso machine to brew espresso beverages.
- Make foam by pouring hot milk into a portafilter.
- Operate cash register to record sales and collect payment.
- Operate food slicer to slice fruits and vegetables.
- Maintain barista station and tools in a clean, organized fashion.

- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and processing of payments
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas
- Assist with food preparation and food safety practices in accordance with health regulations
- Manage retail sales transactions smoothly while upselling products when appropriate
- Ensure all beverage and food items meet quality standards before serving to customers
- Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and multitasking as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated learners eager to grow their skills
- Familiarity with barista techniques and beverage service enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous but training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and managing sales accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
