Turner Dairy is once again excited to add more talent to our team. Turner Dairy Farms, a family-owned company is looking for a career minded individual to fill a Delivery Driver Salesman position. The Delivery Driver Salesman will be part of a team responsible for driving and delivering milk, dairy products, juices, teas, and other products to customers. This position is a full-time position and requires an active CDL, valid Medical DOT card, great driving record and great customer service.
CDL Delivery Driver- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary interface with the customer. Responsible for building relationships which includes providing excellent customer service, placing customer orders and resolving customer issues as they arise. Accountable for ensuring high customer retention.
- Deliver products in a safe and timely manner to customer locations by driving climate-controlled company vehicles. Will typically make deliveries to approximately 10-25 customers per day. May deliver 1-400 cases per customer, weighing approximately 25-50 pounds each.
- Drives 90% of the work week, unloading and delivering dairy products to hospitals, schools, stores, and other customers. Merchandising of products at some customer locations may be required.
- Must complete pre-and post-trip inspections and hours of service log
- May drive up to approximately 500 miles per day, round trip, to customer locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
CDL Delivery Driver- Qualifications:
- Active Class A or B CDL
- Valid Medical DOT Card
- Motor Vehicle Report clear of violations
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle (No manual restriction)
- Great customer service skills and communication skills
- Strong work ethic, an excellent attendance record
- Ability to work overtime or extended hours when needed
- Safety-oriented
