Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and custodial tools.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk to health.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and other custodial equipment to achieve optimal floor care and buffing results.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to ensure a secure environment for yourself and others.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following safe lifting practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
