Car Audio Installer / 12-Volt Electronics Technician Join the Audio Jam team.
Audio Jam is looking for an experienced car audio installer / 12-volt electronics technician to join our growing team. We are seeking a motivated, dependable professional with extensive experience installing aftermarket automotive electronics and custom vehicle accessories.
This is not an entry-level position.
Applicants MUST be certified and experienced in installing car audio systems, vehicle security systems, and remote start systems. You must also be familiar with iDatalink, Compustar, and Maestro products.

Job Overview
As a car audio installer, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and servicing aftermarket automotive electronics while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
You will install premium audio systems, remote starters, alarms, multimedia systems, backup cameras, dash cameras, lighting, and other 12-volt accessories. Every installation should look and function as though it came from the factory.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean wiring, proper vehicle disassembly, and professional installations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional 12-volt installation experience
- Certified and experienced installing car audio systems
- Certified and experienced installing vehicle security (car alarm) systems
- Certified and experienced installing remote start systems
- Extensive knowledge of Compustar remote start systems
- Experience programming and installing iDatalink interfaces
- Experience with Maestro integration products
- Ability to read and interpret automotive wiring diagrams
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities
- Install aftermarket car audio systems
- Install speakers, amplifiers, DSP processors, and subwoofers
- Install multimedia receivers with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Install backup cameras, front cameras, and dashcams
- Install vehicle security systems and remote starters
- Program and configure iDatalink and Maestro integration modules
- Install steering wheel control interfaces and vehicle integration products
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical and audio system issues
- Read factory wiring diagrams and schematics
- Test every installation before vehicle delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure every installation meets factory-quality standards
- Provide exceptional customer service
