Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facilities. This position involves various cleaning tasks across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The Custodian will ensure that all areas are well-maintained and adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure they are clean and presentable.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with facility policies.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall operations.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to uphold safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning duties are completed efficiently and effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with custodial practices and techniques is a plus, including knowledge of floor care processes.
- Experience as a Porter or in facilities maintenance is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties, including lifting and moving equipment or materials as necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
