Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Person to join Ansco's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of materials and products, ensuring accurate and timely shipping and receiving processes, and frequently switching tasks to support various shop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate saws and other machinery as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule deliveries and pickups.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Switch tasks frequently to support various shop operations.
- Assist with other warehouse and shop duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
- Proficient in using basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Experience operating saws and other machinery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
