Dick Anderson Construction is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Full-Time Project Engineer to join our team in Great Falls, Montana.
This position plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects by assisting with project documentation, cost tracking, scheduling, procurement, and communication throughout all phases of construction. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, owners, architects, and internal teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities Include:

Preparing project submittals, including schedules, material lists, material specifications, subcontractor documentation, and related project paperwork

Coordinating with accounting to prepare subcontracts, insurance documentation, monthly billings, and project-related financial information

Securing required permits and maintaining all project documentation and files

Reviewing daily timecards for coding accuracy and submitting them for processing

Collecting, organizing, and maintaining project reports, meeting agendas, correspondence, and project records

Matching invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments while ensuring documentation accuracy

Tracking project quantities, production, costs, and preparing weekly cost projections

Assisting with quantity tracking and cost analysis to support future estimating and bidding efforts

Managing procurement of project materials, equipment, and long lead-time items

Maintaining accurate as-built drawings and project specifications throughout construction

Leading and supporting project scheduling activities

Communicating with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to maintain strong working relationships

Coordinating material orders with Superintendents and verifying project material postings

Assisting with project closeout documentation, final pay quantities, final cost reporting, and project record storage

Supporting the Project Manager with additional project coordination and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred

Previous Project Engineer or construction project coordination experience preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, field personnel, owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and clients

Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment
