Position: IT Support Specialist
Summary/Objective
As the key local IT contact for the US, this role plays an essential part in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. The IT Support Specialist ensures reliable, secure, and efficient IT support across production, logistics, and office environments.
This is a Food Safety Role.

Operational IT Support and Administration of Local Infrastructure
· Deliver responsive support for IT requests and incidents at two US locations (Hoffman Estates and Huntley)
· Support IT rollouts, local changes and system enhancements.
· Keep systems, configurations and implemented changes well documented.
· Set up, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices for local users.
· Provide practical support on network-related topics in close coordination with Global IT.
· Build strong day-to-day alignment with Global IT Operations, escalate more complex issues and coordinate follow up.
· Help bring global standards, policies and system requirements into local execution.
· Maintain cleanliness of their work areas and common areas shared by staff.
· Write, review, and maintain standard operating procedures and documents, as assigned by departmental managers/supervisors.
· In addition to the preceding assignments, the incumbent is obligated to carry out individual tasks that, in essence, belong to his/her duties or where this is dictated by company needs.
· Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, Allergen Handling best practices, Food Defense, and other Food Safety/Food Defense/Quality programs.
SAP Support & Business Process Understanding
· Provide first level support and basic analysis for SAP S/4HANA related topics affecting local business operations
· Act as the local point of contact for SAP related questions from production, logistics, and administrative functions
· Identify, document, and perform an initial assessment of SAP issues, including transaction related errors, data inconsistencies, and process interruptions
· Resolve simple and recurring SAP topics locally where possible, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
· Escalate more complex SAP issues to the global SAP team, providing structured problem descriptions, business context, and initial root cause indications
· Support local users in understanding SAP processes and system usage in alignment with global standards
· Contribute to testing, validation, and rollout activities for SAP related changes and enhancements
Capabilities
· Basic to solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA processes (especially in logistics, production, finance areas)
· Ability to analyze and structure SAP related issues and communicate them effectively to the central SAP expert team
· Familiar with core SAP S/4 concepts such as transactions, master data, and end-to-end business processes
Required Education and Experience
1. Professional experience in IT support or system administration.
2. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
3. Basic understanding of network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
4. Experience in setting up and maintaining print systems.
5. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a must.
6. Strong service orientation and hands-on mentality.
7. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international team.
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
