The Human Resources Assistant – Recruiting Focus supports the organization’s talent acquisition efforts by coordinating and administering recruitment and hiring activities. This position assists with sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding coordination, and maintaining compliance with applicable federal and North Carolina employment laws and company policies.
- Assists in developing, facilitating, and implementing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
- Collaborates with department managers to develop accurate job descriptions, qualifications, and hiring criteria.
- Assists with sourcing candidates using job boards, social media, networking, college outreach, and other recruiting methods.
- Coordinates job postings and recruitment advertising across multiple platforms.
- Owns the talent section on our HRIS.

Reviews applications and conducts initial candidate screenings based on established qualifications and business needs.
- Schedules interviews and coordinates communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Assists with preparation of interview guides, hiring materials, and candidate evaluations.
- Participates in interviews as appropriate and maintains professional candidate communications throughout the hiring process.
- Supports the offer process by preparing offer documentation and coordinating pre-employment requirements.
- Maintains applicant tracking records and recruitment-related documentation.
- Helps ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements.
- Participates in job fairs, recruiting events, and community outreach initiatives as needed.
- Assists with onboarding coordination for newly hired employees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS), or ability to quickly learn new software systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Education and Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of recruiting, staffing, administrative support, or human resources experience preferred.
- Experience supporting recruitment and hiring processes strongly preferred.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or talent acquisition certification is a plus.
