Overview
We are seeking a professional and dependable Taxi Driver to provide safe, efficient, and courteous transportation services to our customers. Must possess a valid driver’s license. This position offers an opportunity to serve the community while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate taxis and other assigned vehicles to transport passengers to their destinations promptly and comfortably
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, ensuring it meets safety standards at all times
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure passenger safety
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed, providing excellent customer service
- Manage routes efficiently using GPS or navigation systems to optimize travel time
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately and issue receipts as required
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company
Pay
Commission-based. Drivers earn a range of $15-$40 per hour, depending on the volume of rides given.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- must be able to obtain a valid taxi license from the city and state
- Proven driving experience with a clean driving record
- Excellent knowledge of local streets, traffic patterns, and navigation tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
- Ability to operate vehicles safely under various weather conditions
- Ability to pass background check
- Prior experience in transportation services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
