Duties

- Follow recipes accurately and adhere to portion control guidelines for quality assurance
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances in accordance with food safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service flow
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and sanitation protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient food prep
- Knowledge of safety standards in production, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency across dishes
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations
- Prior dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required; a passion for culinary arts is essential
