Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment, including power tools and hand tools, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving items within the warehouse or production area using forklifts or manual techniques
- Support fabrication and assembly tasks by measuring, cutting, and assembling components according to specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to promote safety and efficiency throughout the production floor
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and materials to identify potential issues or defects early on
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while adhering to quality standards
- Follow all safety guidelines and participate in ongoing training related to machinery operation, materials handling, and workplace safety
Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in learning machining, fabrication, or carpentry techniques
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred but not required)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including millwork, assembly, and construction fundamentals
- Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment
- Experience or familiarity with warehouse operations or logistics is a plus
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, bending, and moving throughout shifts
- Willingness to learn new skills related to machining, fabrication, or carpentry as part of career growth opportunities
