Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including specialty coffees, espresso drinks, hot chocolates, and other café favorites with precision and care
- Serve chocolates, baked goods, and other sweet treats with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change using retail math skills
- Maintain cleanliness of the barista station, seating area, and food handling zones to meet food safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality or safety standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; we welcome eager learners ready to grow their skills
- Barista experience or coffee knowledge is a plus—familiarity with beverage service techniques enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Strong math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous but training will be provided
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that makes guests feel valued and appreciated
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures at all times
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
