Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team and drive strategic sourcing initiatives across various categories. In this role, you will spearhead the purchasing process - from sourcing and vetting suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effective, timely acquisition of goods and services. Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations for a diverse range of goods and services.
- Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market trends.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve procurement issues, improve processes, and enhance supply chain resilience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including production, maintenance, supervisors, and senior management—to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Oversee the end to end procurement cycle, approving purchase orders and ensuring on time delivery.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement management with a strong understanding of procurement contract negotiation and category management.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and public sector purchasing standards.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts effectively while balancing cost savings with quality requirements.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and vendor negotiations.
- Experience in supply chain management, logistics, materials management, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
