Maintenance Planner / Maintenance Engineer – Stamping Operations

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner / Maintenance Engineer to support our stamping operations by coordinating preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of stamping presses, automation, PLCs, and manufacturing maintenance who enjoys planning projects while remaining hands-on with troubleshooting and equipment improvements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and work orders for stamping presses.
- Provide electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings to maintenance technicians for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Obtain vendor quotes for equipment repairs, refurbishments, and maintenance services.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and recommend improvements.
- Ensure adequate spare parts inventory for stamping press equipment.
- Coordinate equipment repair projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and automated control systems.
- Assist with equipment repairs, including component-level troubleshooting when necessary.
- Develop project schedules, timelines, and completion targets.
- Support maintenance and production teams with technical expertise.
- Maintain maintenance documentation, drawings, and technical records.
- Identify and implement new technologies to improve equipment reliability and productivity.
- Support compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while following all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of stamping presses, automation systems, robotics, PLCs, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and CAD drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC) and automated equipment.
- Working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and CAD software.
- Strong project planning, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience planning preventive maintenance programs for stamping operations.
- Background in continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating outside contractors.
