American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2 years of acute PACU experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
-
12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
Scheduled for 3 days per week, totaling 36 hours weekly
-
Call requirement of 5 days within an eight-week schedule period
-
Scheduled weekend approximately every 10 weeks, beginning Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 6:00 AM

Uses Epic EMR system

Active RN license (IN or compact) currently in hand

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum of 2 years acute care PACU RN experience required

Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Epic EMR experience required

Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care

Provides patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge needs
-
Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
-
Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts
-
Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
