h. Train school system personnel to be present at and serve on student disciplinary tribunals and maintain
records of qualified personnel

5. Middle and High School Athletics
a. Interpret rules and regulations outline by the Fayette County Middle School Athletic League and in the
Georgia High School Association Constitution and By-laws
b. Coordinate all applicable laws, regulations and policies related to Title IX of the Education Amendments
of 1972
c. Provide mediation and resolution of conflicts concerning athletics
d. Coordinate the community coach program
e. Revise athletic/extracurricular code of conduct
f. Annually review and update district athletic guidelines
g. Serve as liaison between schools with scheduling athletic activities
h. Coordinate emergency personnel and security for athletic events
i. Be visible at various sporting events at schools throughout the district
6. Special Permission/HB 251
a. Interpret state law, Board of Education policies and administrative regulations regarding attendance
b. Review and maintain data on students attending schools on special permission
c. Develop guidelines for granting special permission requests to attend schools out of attendance area
d. Serve as chairperson of special permission committee to determine status of special permission requests
e. Provide appeal process for parents appealing outcome of special permission committee
7. Student Attendance
a. Attend attendance protocol meetings with the Fayette County Juvenile Court
b. Monitor and send correspond to parents in accordance with attendance protocol
c. Work with social workers on referrals regarding attendance protocol
d. Serve on the Fayette Juvenile Justice CHINS committee
8. Perform other assigned duties as assigned and allowable by intended program
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of five (5) years as an educator
Hold or be eligible for certificate in Educational Leadership
Leadership experience
Experience with discipline
Experience developing a budget
Experience in developing and executing long-range plans
Proficiency in administrative and instructional technology
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities. Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force
occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Frequent
sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling and repetitive fine motor activities.
Vision, hearing and verbal communications are essential functions of this position.
