Duties
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems such as Toast POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, or special dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transactions processing.
- Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
- Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations by providing attentive service that exceeds expectations in a fine dining or casual setting.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while adhering to sanitation standards throughout your shift.
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast POS is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices in food handling.
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule.
