American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical position requiring a NM or Compact RN license, with day shift scheduling and first-time travelers welcome.

Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting with 32 beds

Day shift schedule (4x12 hours), 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
-
36 or 48-hour weekly shift options available

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6

Rapid response team activation responsibilities

Epic EMR used; experience preferred
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating to like units required
-
6 weekend shifts required within every 6-week period
-
Active NM or Compact RN license required

Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required; Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred

Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

No travel pairs or groups accepted

RTO is limited to no more than 3 days auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
