Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager at Dimplex Thermal Solutions is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, leading the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role maintains strong internal controls, supports audit activities, and provides financial insights to support business decision-making. The Accounting Manager will supervise AR and AP functions, oversee account reconciliations, support SG&A forecasting, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies within a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Managerial Accountant) designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Leadership and team development with effective written and verbal communication across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools).
Responsibilities:
Month-End Close & Finance Reporting: Prepare and oversee month end close including journal entries, trial balances, reports, uploads, presentations ensuring financial accuracy and timeliness.
Account Reconciliations and Compliance: Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Coordinate and lead internal and external audits and oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Team Leadership: Supervise AR, AP, and staff accountant, managing workloads and deadlines. Develop team capabilities and ensure high-quality output
Cross-Functional Support: Partner with Sales, R&D, HR, and Marketing to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Provide insights into financial performance and key business drivers.
Process improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance function. Other duties as assigned.
