Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Draftsman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive shop drawings, schematics, and 3D models that bring architectural, engineering, and construction projects to life. Your expertise in CAD software and building information modeling (BIM) tools will be instrumental in translating concepts into detailed plans that meet building code compliance and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from structural steel and concrete shop drawings to actual renderings, ensuring accuracy and clarity at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to produce building information modeling (BIM) models that support construction detail documentation and system design.
- Conduct building code analysis to ensure all designs comply with local regulations and standards.
- Assist in developing construction details, technical schematics, and interior design layouts that are clear, precise, and ready for implementation.
- Support the review of design schematics for accuracy and consistency while incorporating client feedback effectively.
- Maintain organized CAD files and documentation records for seamless project management and future reference.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit.
- Strong experience with 2D and 3D CAD modeling and building information modeling (BIM) tools to enhance project visualization.
- Knowledge of construction detail documentation processes and construction experience to inform accurate drafting.
- Ability to analyze building codes and ensure design compliance with relevant standards.
- Skilled in schematic development, engineering CAD design, graphic design principles, system design.
- Excellent drafting skills with an eye for detail; capable of producing clear technical drawings for diverse applications.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high-quality standards.
Pay depending on experience.
Pay: $25.00 - $33.67 per hour
