Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks—including, dump trucks, and end-dump trucks—will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and endump trucks.
- Load and unload material with precision
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for delivery, ensuring timely arrivals at multiple destinations.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit; handle special freight such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials if applicable.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered on the road.
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailers and various truck types such as, dump trucks, or end dump trucks.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Prior experience in freight delivery and route driving across diverse terrains is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures and safety protocols related to commercial trucking.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance standards for commercial drivers.
