Job Overview :
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Java Developer to join our dynamic software engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to developing, maintaining, and enhancing backend systems and web applications using Java and related technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions, implement APIs, and support system integration efforts. Duties
- Develop and maintain backend systems utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs to ensure robust application performance.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components built with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for seamless user experiences.
- Participate in system design discussions, creating UML diagrams and technical specifications that guide development efforts.
- Write clean, efficient code with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability; perform unit testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support database design and management using relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server; optimize queries for performance.
- Contribute to Agile software development cycles by attending stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews; utilize version control tools like GitHub or SVN.
- Assist in deploying applications within cloud infrastructure environments such as AWS or Azure; support CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience in Java development with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Familiarity with front-end development frameworks such as React and Bootstrap for creating responsive UI components.
- Hands-on knowledge of web services including RESTful APIs and SOAP; experience integrating third-party APIs is a plus.
- Experience working with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and microservices architecture is highly desirable.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices including SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), UML modeling, version control (Git), and unit testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of database design and management using SQL (T-SQL) or PL/SQL; experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile teams using tools such as TFS or Jira; strong debugging skills and system troubleshooting capabilities are essential.
