Required Experience:

High School diploma required, additional college preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds in a respectful manner

Strong computer skills
Responsibilities:
-
Book Check Out/Check In Daily
-
Open Book Check out for individual students
-
Classroom book check out following weekly schedule
-
Check in and reshelve books
-
Use Destiny software system to keep track of fines, overdue books, etc.
-
Send overdue notices to students and collect fines if needed.
-
Create weekly check out schedule
-
Assist students with book choices
-
Book Processing
-
Enter new books into the Destiny System
-
Repair books
-
Discard/weed books in collaboration with Media Director
-
Media Center Inventory at the end of the year
-
Balance MC Budget
-
Order MC supplies such as toner, tape etc.
-
Keep MC aesthetically pleasing and efficient
-
Collaborate with media director on reading promotions
-
Assist with chromebook check in and check out the first and las week of school
-
Other duties as assigned
