Title: Child Nutrition General Assistant
Job Description: Assists in food preparation, general cleaning and sanitation of work and serving areas, food packaging and distribution to satellite locations, and record keeping.
Criteria:
A. Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent
B. Experience Desired: N/A
C. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Constant hand-eye coordination, hearing, Keyboarding, use of wrists, hands, fingers, speaking, typing and writing. Frequent sitting, standing and walking. The ability to communicate verbally and i writing is also required.
D. Other Requirements: Must be able to accurately handle/count money, working knowledge of basic computer use and data entry along with demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Essential Functions and Duties:

Assists with food preparation at designated areas.

Accurately enters deposits and sales using point of sale software system.

Assists with general cleaning and sanitation of work and serving area(s).

Responsible for daily reconciliation of point of sale terminal

Follows safety procedures in the use of all equipment.

Performs other duties as assigned by Child Nutrition Director.
Reports To: Child Nutrition Director
Receives Guidance From: Kitchen Manager
Working Conditions:
A. Inside
B. Climatic Environment: Climate controlled environment with some temperature variations. Typically, work is conducted in a comfortable environment.
C. Hazards: Exposure to communicable diseases.
