Qualifications & Experience
- Current and active NM SLP license required
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred, encompassing elementary, middle, and high school populations
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and families
Core Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
- Engage in IEP meetings, providing input on communications goals
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student success
- Advise teachers and parents on strategies to promote communication skills in multiple settings
