Overview
Join our team as a Recreation/Transportation Specialist working with people with developmental disabilities. This energetic position combines creative therapeutic activities with reliable transportation services, ensuring clients receive engaging, personalized care while maintaining their independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate a variety of recreational activities both in facility and in the community. (crafts, special holiday events, parks, out to eat, swimming, shopping, etc) based upon individuals preferences.
- Provides transportation for community outings. Must be comfortable transporting in large vans, driving long distances as needed.
- Maintain activity calendars, attendance, and documentation.
- Assist with personal care and meal time support
- Oversees Transportation services such as daily scheduling, inspections, routine services, maintenance. Plans routes and maintains necessary documentation. Provides training to employees.
- Ability to pass medications and respond to emergency situations.
Requirements
- Must have an excellent driving record,
- Must be 18 years old
- Must have highschool diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical.
Pay: $21.10 - $24.46 per hour
