The Fire Alarm Installation Technician is a role responsible for independently performing core technical functions related to the installation of fire alarm systems including but not limited to; cabling, panels and control equipment, mounting, wiring and the mounting and wiring of all peripheral equipment. The successful candidate must be capable of completing typical fire alarm equipment installations with little supervision required. The technician will apply industry knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and best practices to ensure systems are installed and operating in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Run cabling and conduit where required for interconnecting fire alarm control equipment and all peripheral equipment.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise after the fire alarm system is powered up.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete installations.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
Accurately complete service reports, documentation, and inspection records.
Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Identify potential system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Provide guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed.
Travel to job sites as required.
Perform wok in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an alarm technician.
Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting methods.
Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
L6 or C6 license is strongly recommended.
Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Pay:
$35 to $40+ depending on certifications and experience.
Note L6 or C6 license is preferred
