Quality Control Inspector
Huntington Beach, CA
Pay Range: $24–$27/hour
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
- Monday – Friday
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of in-process materials, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Interpret inspection results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and determine product acceptance.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of finished and unfinished products.
- Complete documentation to support inspection procedures, including data capture forms, inspection reports, and equipment logbooks.
- Calibrate, validate, and maintain inspection and measurement equipment.
- Participate in out-of-specification and non-conformance investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide quality control data to support internal audits and regulatory compliance.
- Receive and inspect incoming raw materials.
- Investigate and report questionable inspection or test results.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained within the work area.
- Identify quality issues and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Quality Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics, including algebra and geometry.
- General understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles.
- Experience using and calibrating measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 standards.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 1–2 years of quality inspection experience preferred.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Experience with composite and metallic structures is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
